With a Weekly Magazine at my beck and call, I decided to "use it" this week to say I Love You to my Valentine. I'm an amazingly-blessed gal to have him in my life; perhaps not for as long as Bub and Margie (below,) but for the inspiringly-happy 20 years that we have been together. We get to live, work, and play together. Wow! As an old Old Milwaukee commercial used to say, "It just doesn't get any better than this!"

EDITOR'S NOTE: A little birdie told me that our Storyteller, Bub and his Valentine, Margie, are celebrating 56 years together ... and it reminded me that Bub had sent me a fun slide show of his pics. You see, Bub has a couple great loves - Margie and riding! Well, now, to be real, he's got more! Yes, it's certainly no secret to Margie that Bub loves living fully and so he's got LOTS more loves in his life as you can see in this video. Sailing, flying, traveling, joking .....

With it being Valentine's Day, what better time to recognize a great Love Story? Here's Bub's slide show of his travels and fun set to a great tune. As he said when he sent it to me, "Make sure to have your volumn turned up!"

"I've Been Everwhere" VIDEO

It only takes a Blink

Sunday was a gorgeous day. We went out for a short ride to grab brunch. On the way back we witnessed a fellow biker who lost his concentration for just a second. When he looked up a car was stopping in front of him. He applied the rear brakes and the bike started to slide and at some point he grabbed too much front break. Too much front break on a big heavy Harley is a very short trip to the asphalt. We went back to help and call 911. Luckily, from the initial looks of it, he was not hurt badly but it brings up the fact that occasionally it would not hurt to practice your emergency breaking, and of course keep your eyes on the road.

A Clarification about HDC's Lifetime Powertrain Warranty

We've had a few questions come in about the story in last week's edition regarding Harley-Davidson of Charlotte's Forever Warranty offer for folks buying bikes from that dealership. Here's a little clarification in case you missed the facts:

1. You do NOT have to have your service work done at HD of Charlotte .. but they do require that you go to an approved service shop. You must get pre-approval for work done.

2. The warranty is for whoever buys the bike for the life of the bike under their ownership. It is not transferable to a new owner.

3. Most models that HD of Charlotte has for sale, (new and pre-owned under 5 years old,) are eligible. That includes Sportsters, Dyna, Softail, and Touring Models as well as any model pre-owned that's under 5 years old.

4. If you have questions, just ask. They are working hard to inform customers about this new deal and happy to answer questions.

Happy riding.
