Come find me @ Smoke Out 2012

There are Prize Packages!

I know I'll upset somebody by saying this but I think the Smoke Out might just be my very favorite bike event outside of Sturgis....and it doesn't take several days' travel plus a month's vacation to really enjoy it!

So, I'm really smoked-up about my weekend in Rockingham. This is a rally unlike any others around here -crazy cool bikes made with love and inspiration, funky craftspeople, wild 'n racey entertainment, artsy metal on bikes and people too, lots of skin ink (actually, lots of skin really,) sizzling music, and some downright special extras like the painted lady contest and fire artists and ...oh yeah, and there are BIKES! - chopped-out rat bikes and played-out visions, racing and stunts and burn outs and roaring rambling rides! No, there's no Black Hills or Deadwood or riding with movie stars but Smoke Out is smokin' hot all on its own right smack in The Carolinas!

And who's gonna be there? ... The Carolina Rider and THE BIG RIDE bus, that's who! I'll be there, Footloose too and we'll be on the lookout for YOU. Come find us at the bus!

Come get your Prizes from me @ Smokeout 2012!

FIRST PEOPLE TO FIND US EACH DAY GET A SPECIAL PRIZE PACKAGE!

TGIF Gift Card + The Carolina Rider shirt + Collector's Item commemorative Smoke Out event poster

And your photo in The Carolina Rider Scene next week!

10 prize packages going out ...

To the first 5 on Friday and the first 5 on Saturday who come to THE BIG RIDE and ask for FancyFree to "PRIZE ME!"

Here's the latest draft of the Smoke Out schedule of events ... Edge says it may change as he's still working on adding more cool stuff before the gates open Friday!

Smoke Out's event organizer, Edge, shares this additional info for those heading to Rockingham this weekend.....

  • One out of five people that enter the bike show will win an incredible prize, just for being in the show! We are having a killer raffle to encourage YOU to let people see YOUR build. There were too many cool bikes in the parking lot last year that should have been in the show.
  • We still need women for the "Painted Lady Contest!"
  • The Smoke out is truly "by the subculture for the subculture." If you have something special to bring to the party, please let me know. I just got an e-mail from a former marine that does live chainsaw sculptures. This is what I am talking about!
  • All Mini-Bike Superheroes must go to the Information booth (Sat 1 pm to 2:30 pm) to register with XsSpeed. If you don't get your number ... you cannot ride in the races!

We've got photos from Smoke Out 2010 in GALLERY#85 online - in case you need some inspiration to plan your weekend....

See ya there - or somewhere else along the road!

Introducing 2 New Sponsors!

Today we welcome 2 new Sponsors to The Carolina Rider circle of advertisers... well, they're not all that new to us and you've heard about them before in some form from us .. but today we welcome them in full Sponsorship!

Mad Dog Custom Cycles in Lake Wylie, SC

and

Boneyard Tavern in Monroe, NC

That's right, both sides of the Carolina border represented today!

Welcome to my friends John and Steve, owners of these two Carolina valuable businesses!

Advertise with The Carolina Rider!

Do you have a business you'd like to promote in The Carolina Rider? We now reach over 50,000 subscribers each week with in this e-Magazine, The Carolina Rider Scene and as you should be aware, that's not all we do to promote our valued Sponsors! What other methods of advertising do you use that reaches that many riders of North and South Carolina? I've spent many years sticking business cards on bikes or into hands of potential readers or clients .. many many years shaking the bushes and trying to get the word out for my own business, or, as a marketing professional, for my many clients through the years .. and I believe without any doubt that this form of advertising is focused, targetted, and just what you need if you want to reach anyone who has some dollars to spend - even if your business isn't specifically motorcycles in fact!

Give me a holler and let's talk about how you and I and The Carolina Rider can help each other make dreams come true!

Ride Safe and Keep The Shiny Side Up,
Jon
