Is FancyFree a CPR?

No, I didn't get inducted into this rider group BUT I sure would be proud if I did!

As we've mentioned previously, Footloose and I had the fun opportunity to have lunch with the Carolina Pro Riders recently. You know, that crazy-ridin' group of retired guys who ride ALL THE TIME and mostly on what most of us would call "off roads" and country twists and twirls at fighter pilot speeds. That's Bub up there next to me in the red and black jacket. Mickey is next to him with the blue shirt peeking out from under his riding jacket. On the other side of me is Charley in the grey jacket and John is beside him in black and blue. Oh, and the location? - Strawberry Hill in Chesnee, of course. Bub and I forced ourselves to have some ice cream after lunch but the rest of the guys were watching their figures.

Makes me happy to know these guys! It's doubtful that I'll ever ride like they do but I love living vicariously thru their stories!

North Carolina Judges

I know many of you have been overwhelmed with the media coverage regarding our upcoming elections. Frequently very little is known about the judges you have an opportunity to vote on. You can certainly google them, but I thought I would share my list of appellate court choices and why I have picked them.

I want justices who will respect the constitution and my rights as a citizen of the State. In other words, I don't want corporate interest or government interest to carry more weight than citizen interest. I vote for, and therefore recommend those that I believe will do the best job protecting people's rights. I make my decisions without regard to party affiliation as I am not a fan of either major party and find both equally dangerous.

I hope you find this helpful.

Sincerely,

Jason

Gift and Gobble coming up

and The BIG RIDE Bus will be there to greet you!

"I haven't heard anything about that ride in YEARS!," replied a rider friend when I mentioned that the Gift and Gobble Ride is coming up in a couple weeks on Sunday, November 6th. There's a reason he hadn't heard about it. That's because the popular annual Thanksgiving-season ride stopped several years back and just this year the folks of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Harley-Davidson of Charlotte set their intentions to make it happen again.

Different than the numerous toy runs that are on the horizon, the Gift and Gobble Ride collects FOOD as well as toys for area kids and the CMPD's Freedom Division distributes them as they see needs. I'm betting police officers know their communities and who can use a helping hand so this seems to be a great plan.

The ride starts at Coyote Joe's and it's police escorted, of course; ending at the dealership in Matthews with food from Mac's (that you KNOW will be great,) and live music too.

The BIG RIDE Bus will be at Coyote Joe's to greet riders during registration (11am-1pm) and we will have something warm to drink (hot chocolate and/or coffee,) and a little something to munch on. We are looking forward to being there ... and seeing you!
