Here's an invitation to all ya'll out there who have RIDER DOGS ... You know, the canines who ride or just generally enjoy being around motorcycles and the folks who love them (the bikes and the dogs, that is.) Let's hear from you!
You've read our Canine Contributor, Quece's, howlin' good adventures by bike. She's ridden thousands of miles! And we all see other dogs out there who ride on the bike or in a sidecar or in a trailer. There are also those who just like to hang out with riders and dress up too. I had a dog who went ape-skippy anytime a motorcycle cranked up. And I have dogs now who are almost numb to the sound now after a lifetime of living at and around biker events. What about you?
Do you have a Rider Dog? Do you have a tale of any? How about photos you've captured of Rider Dogs? Send 'em in! We'll send you back a TCR Tuff that you and your furry friend can wear and we'll publish your story and photos in a special upcoming edition...
And, speaking of dogs, have I told you that my dogs are the new parents of 9 standard poodle puppies? Born 9/2, they are now 8 weeks old and ready to go to fabulous homes. Actually, most have already found their new owners but 2 girls and 2 boys remain without families. Email if interested!
I'm on Facebook ... "friend me!"
My friend Debbie and I visited a good friend in the Low Country of South Carolina last month. Krissa and her husband Mike were our wonderful host on this particular trip. I had created a list of historical sites I wanted to visit in order to work on my photography. Krissa took my list and gave it to Mike and said “Make this list happen!” I wanted to make sure everyone was on board with “my” list of plans….my riding partner Debbie says “Fine with me, I just want to RIDE!” So ride we did! ...
We left home and travelled Highway 109 out of Thomasville, NC and eventually hooked up to Highway 52 all the way to South Carolina. A very nice break away from the stress of Interstate travel! We had two full days to ride and see all the places I had noted on my list. But, Mike had a surprise for us in store. Not only would I be seeing 90% of the places I listed, he found more places and added them in the route. The route? OMG! What a route plan!
Mike took the time to ride and ride again (advantage of being retired) the route plan so that we did not see the same road twice! Basically a big circle from starting point (their home) to ending point (their home).
